Hello! My name is Amryn and I have been teaching and working as a photographer for six years. I have a degree from the University of North Carolina at Asheville in Art with a Photography and Ceramics concentration. I have experience teaching art at a Montessori School, working as a photography assistant for beginner and intermediate photography classes at Lightscapes Photographic Artwork, and as a freelance portrait and event photographer. My work has been published online on Vogue Italia's website, as well as in print in Southern Regional Honors Council Literary Arts Journal, Sugar Hill and Suwanee Life Magazine, Headwaters, The Atlanta Journal Constitution's The Bard and The Muckraker, and many others. My proudest accomplishment was speaking at the UNC Asheville TEDx Conference- my talk titled The Paralyzing Nature of Fear focused on the relationship between fear and art and how fear may be inspirational but also paralyzing at times.
I have a strong background in teaching Digital photography, Photoshop (photo manipulation), and alternative processes such as cyanotypes and lumen prints.
