Saint Augustine's University (Studio Arts)
I am a studio artist that specializes in painting, and drawing in various mediums. I graduated from Saint Augustine's University with a degree in Visual Arts with the concentration of Studio Arts. While I was in undergrad I spent a enormous amount of time perfecting my skills and learning ways to pass on my knowledge. During My senior year of undergrad I volunteered at to teach kids basic art skills on how to paint, draw, and craft. I came up with my own lesson plans and i created fun ways for kids to be interactive with art and their peers. What I love about teaching and tutoring is that I can show all the values in art, and how art can be a way to express your emotions through painting and drawing.
What makes me an qualified art instructor is that I have the understanding that everyone has some kind of creativity in them and there is really no wrong way to do art. I am very skilled in blending colors and I am very skilled in mixing paints to get an array of different shades of colors. I also am very skilled in showing basic sketching techniques and how to shade with the various shading techniques.
I would say that I am a very enthusiastic person when it comes to art, and I love to unlock the creativity in others who are interested in the arts and value the arts. I would say that my way of teaching will have you excited about art and you will experience different ways to gather ideas for creating pieces of artwork, and we will always have fun painting and drawing and learning the arts.
