Photography

My background includes a degree in Commercial Photography from the Art Institute of Atlanta. My professional experience consists of portrait photography, special effects photography for audio-visual production, fashion and glamour photography, and product photography. I primarily teach digital photography. However, I can also tutor in film photography if the student is interested. I have many years experience teaching and training other photographers, from beginners to advance. I enjoy teaching and training because it helps me keep up with the latest technology and improve my own skills. The lessons are designed around the experience level of the student. For beginners, I usually start with helping the student learn the basic functions of the camera, lenses, and digital media. Next, I give the student a good understanding about making correct exposures by teaching the "Exposure Triangle" (f-stop, shutter speed, and ISO), and how to effectively apply these functions. As the student advances, we get into composition, lighting techniques, studio photography, and on and on. My objective is to ensure the student has a technical understanding of the digital camera and digital photography while learning to make creative and appealing photographs; and to have fun while learning.
