Georgia State University (German and Marketing)
I am currently a student at Georgia State University working in the Department of World Languages and Cultures studying marketing and German for international business. As a student I have been on either the President's or Dean's list every semester and am in the Honors college. Tutoring German has been a part of my life since I started learning the language in 2009.
Personally, I value commitment and believe that not only should people do what they say, but they should also arrive on time. I pride myself in arriving at the correct time and ready to work.
German has always been an integral part of my life and continues to become more important. In high school I tutored German, was one of three students to make it through all four years of German, and was twice awarded German Student of the Year. Once I entered college, I began sponsoring German international students and started the German Cultural Community.
I have always found grammar to be an important aspect of communication. At home I often assist my two younger brothers with English assignments and will help proofread homework as well.
I am a very open person who is willing to help students in any way I can. My professional career has been in academia, and I know the ins and outs of how to effectively assist students with languages. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students.
