About Amira

Hello beautiful people! I am a person who loves to learn. My personal belief is that life is all about living, learning, and teaching. I earned a BA and MS in Psychology from Valdosta State University in 2000 and 2003 respectively. I am currently nearing the end of my PhD in Higher Education Administration. I am completing this degree via distance learning and have become well versed in the important link between technology and education.

I teach undergraduate psychology classes on a part time basis for a couple of colleges in Georgia (Fayetteville and Smyrna). I relocated to Georgia after having lived and worked in California for the past ten years. I love interacting with students and I am passionate about teaching psychology. I recently taught a class with many dual enrolled students. After this experience I decided that I would be very open to tutoring high school students. All of my professional work experience has been with undergraduate college students.

I am easy to talk to and I know a lot about my subject. Because I have taught as a "free-way flyer" i.e., an adjunct professor who travels between institutions, I have amassed more than 10,000 hours talking about psychology.

If you are struggling with understanding the vast array of theories and theorists in psychology, don't fret.

If you think you understand the information but forget it when it comes time for the test, don't sweat.

Contact Professor S., the professor with a purpose for a learning experience you won't forget.

Looking forward to discovering psychology with you.
Warm regards,
Amira S.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
