my name is Pamela and I have been working in the field of education for over 20 years and it is my passion to educate others. I have worked with two companies and one private organization to tutor students in grades 3 -12. My last tutoring job was with a company out of Riverdale, Georgia and I was the site coordinator/tutor. I worked along with eight other teachers to tutor in groups of eight students per teacher. The tutoring sessions were successful and because it was funded by NCLB it was not renewed for a second year. The students and parents were extremely pleased with my services and the parents attempted to hire me privately to continue tutoring their children for the next school term.
The second company was out of Cleveland, Tennessee and with them I was only allowed to tutor one child at a time even if there were two children in the home that needed tutoring. I was so successful with this experience that one of my students that was in the 12th grade and could not read on a pre-k level was able to begin reading at pre-k level and move up to an acceptable high school level. She took the high school graduation tests and passed them all on her first attempt.
The private organization that I worked for was out of Dawson, Georgia and it was funded by a local physician and his wife, she is a nurse. Their mission was to help students who could not afford tutoring or those who did not qualify through the school system to receive the help that they needed. I was successful with those students also and helped to provide one student with the skills and knowledge she needed to pass the ASVAB test to get into the military.
I love educating others and receiving the honor of knowing that I made a difference in that person's life. I am very persistent when I work and I am a great motivator. I am currently in the process of furthering my education in the field of Early Childhood at a local University.
I am always looking for opportunities to learn something new and to increase my knowledge. In essence, I am a professional at all times. I will admit that I am a perfectionist and I pay close attention to detail when it comes to my students and their needs. I have personally, over the years, taken under my wing seven or more children and educated them with life skills and their educational dreams. This is ongoing. I am always working on something or with someone. My goal is to always help someone be successful.
I am a hard worker and I will provide you with the best education that I can possibly give. I will work with you to help you achieve your goals and objectives. I will always listen to your suggestions, comments, and ideas pertaining to your education. I am available to tutor several days a week and on most Saturdays. Please review my hours of availability. In closing, I would like to say that I have a great track record of helping students to succeed. Hello,

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
