About Joseph

Many things in life will come and go, this is the nature of our existence. One of the few things that WILL stay with you is the knowledge you gain. I have spent a fair majority of my life in or around the education system and seen persons of all ages grasp concepts they thought they would never understand in the beginning. A little hard work and determination partnered with a timely push in the right direction can make all the difference.

I have spent some time leading peer workshops as well as overseeing large groups for laboratories. I have taught classes in Chemistry and English. I have been involved in one-on-one tutoring as well as group “thinking” sessions. The one constant for all of those situations is the joy in a student’s eyes when they GET the subject for the first time and that EUREKA!! Moment happens….

All subjects of a science nature at their roots are composed of Math. With my background in Chemistry as well as a working knowledge of Geometry, Physics, Calculus, and test taking skills I have extreme confidence in my ability to help any student build their test taking prowess.

My entire experience as a tutor/teacher began as a humble chemistry student and without it I wouldn't be where i am today. Honestly I didn't fully enjoy my first chemistry class but along the way I began to respect it and learn the nuances and beautiful secrets it could teach me. My degree is extremely chemistry heavy and there are few areas in the field that i cannot cover.

I have spent some time (two years) as a language instructor in Japan, assisting students in developing their English abilities through written and verbal media. I know the hardships that can befall any English student and where the grammar mistakes are most likely to occur.

Regardless of the subject I want every student to wholesomely enjoy the lessons and have fun with the subject. Learning is about absorbing the material and the easiest way to do that is to relax and learn at YOUR pace.

If you would like to learn more about me or my lessons, PLEASE do not hesitate to contact me.
