Mr. Tom helped my granddaughter right away at the very first tutoring session! He was able to pinpoint the problems she was having and helped her to understand more right away. We are very pleased with his calm and patient teaching methods. My granddaughter said he worked one problem over and over and over until she understood how it was done. Even she said that he is a very patient tutor and she is enjoying learning from him. Thanks so much Mr. Tom!
Tom has been excellent working with my son. He is very patient. He really takes the time to review the SAT questions & answers, so my son fully understands why certain SAT answers were the best answer. He has also provided my son with helpful tips on how best to finish all of the questions. Tom is always on time, polite and works well to fit our busy schedules. I highly recommend Tom and will keep his contact information, in case my younger son needs assistance at some point.
His ability to access weaknesses and how to prepare plans to improve. Looks at results and analyzes category by category. Very patient and shows concern for student improvement.
Mr. F is very patient with Mackenzie. It is very apparent by looking at Mackenzie's grades that Mr. F tutoring is helping her immensely. I have no problem recommending Mr. F to others.
He is very patient and figures out how to make kids learn the way they will understand. He is easy to got in touch either on the phone, text, or email. He always let know what time he will be starting the lesson in advance. I am pleased with the results.
Tom has been very patient with my daughter. He takes the time explaining to her what is wrong and why it is wrong, as well as asking her why her answer was right. Tom has been very flexible and understanding with us when I have had to re-schedule are session due to my work schedule. I would highly recommend Tom!
Mr. Tom is well mannered, patient, and extremely knowledgeable of various school systems. One of the best things was to watch him interpret the skill-sets and thought process of my son. He doesn't try to force a new way of learning on the student. Instead he finds out what works best for the child and builds from that base. I would recommend him without hesitation.
Tom F excelled as a tutor for our family. My son had taken his SATs and wasn't happy with the results. We hired Tom to prepare him for taking the SATs for a second time. The result was an increase on his Math and Reading scores of 100 pts. each. His Writing score increased by 30 pts. We were very happy with the results. Tom was patient, had productive sessions, was flexible on scheduling and was always on time.
Our experience with Tom F. has been very positive. He is very thorough, upbeat, encouraging, and very helpful. My 17 year-old looks forward to talking with Mr. F and recognizes how highly intelligent Mr. F is. My son even does Mr. F's assignments without nagging!! I can't tell you how much we wish we would have had tutoring from him instead of taking an ACT prep course. I'm sure my son will improve for his upcoming ACT.
I appreciate the fact that he is working with her schedule. He is very encouraging to her and doesn't overload or overwhelm her. He is flexible and always on time.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
