As a tutor, my goal is to help my student do the best that they possibly can. I really enjoy History and Social Sciences and I want to help others do the same. I have taken and done very well on multiple AP exams in Social Sciences and I am currently an over 3.5 GPA Honors Student at Kennesaw State University. I specialize in American History but I can also cover any World History and Government classes K-12 and most general ed college history courses.
I want my students to learn in a comfortable environment for them because I believe that is the best setting to learn in. I will work from the ground up with a student, making sure that they fully understand the basic concepts of what they are learning and then build on that so that they have a stable base to go from as they continue in whatever course they are taking.
One of the most important things for me is that a student reads and takes notes. This is the most essential thing in History and Social Sciences and I would work with a student to establish good note taking skills and reading habits. Reading and notes are the first step in understanding History because History is the study of written texts. Feel free to email me any further questions you may have about me. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
