My philosophy of teaching is all about creating a foundation of vocabulary and grammar with the understanding of the "why" behind that foundation. In my experience, understanding the fundamentals of a foreign language/writing style is essential because the foundation of a language is built around the basics. Without a foundation, what is learned will never be as effective as it possibly can, and ultimately the level of mastery will suffer greatly because of the novice errors, not adequate knowledge.
I am a fully bilingual speaker of both Spanish and English. I graduated from Clemson University with a Bachelor's in Spanish. As part of my undergraduates studies, I studied internationally in Argentina, as part of a my degree program at Clemson.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
