University of Georgia (English Literature)
I am a graduate of the University of Georgia with a Bachelor's degree in English Literature. I am an Assistant teacher for 7 to 10 year old children during Church services at my local Church. I have two teenage children, and have volunteered at their schools over the years.
My love of reading books started when I was six years old. I am a voracious reader and visit my local library twice a week. I can show children how understanding what they read will change their world, improve their grades at school, and increase their curiosity and knowledge of how the world works. I can help them improve their writing skills. I demonstrate how to organize their homework routine to maximize their free time. I can show them how to handle special projects (writing papers) to alleviate stress and procrastination at home.
I have ten years of experience giving Bible studies to children. I can help improve their vocabulary and grammar skills. I can proofread and correct their writing projects for school.
I will help your child find joy in reading and learning. Please contact me to show your child there is fun in schoolwork!

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
