Hi! I am a stay-at-home mom with a B.A. in English Literature from Columbus State University. Prior to the birth of my son, I worked at Aflac for 14 years, including a stint as an editor for the company and as a compliance analyst, both of which required extensive use of my grammatical skills.
My husband and I are youth pastors, so I enjoy working with students. I have helped students of various ages with grammar and writing tasks, and I also tutored an R.N. with her papers while she was working toward an additional degree. As you can see, I am comfortable working with people of any age.
I am comfortable with helping students with assigned homework and with sample work in any area where they need more assistance. If there is a particular area where the parent/student feels they need extra attention, I will make sure to concentrate my efforts on that area during the time alotted. Hi! In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I am a pastor's wife who has been raised in church and has read the Bible since I was a child. I have taken Bible courses at church and at divinity school, and I continue to read and study the Scriptures. I enjoy finding the meaning of Scripture and helping others to do the same.
