My time in ESL at Columbus State University was really a process that began in 2006 when a group of Colombian colonels came to study there. I had the opportunity to teach 12 of their children a starter ESL course in my home to get them ready to enter the public school system. I was so proud that one of my students, Jose, age 14 at the time, advanced one entire grade level in reading in just eight weeks. In 2008, I took over as the head of the English Language Institute at Columbus State University where I ran the program for the next three years, tripling the program in size over that time. Just before I finished that position, Jose, now age 18, had come back from Colombia to study with me at the English Language Institute. He called me to say that he'd gotten his TOEFL scores by email and he scored 102! CSU only requires a 79 minimum for admission to a regular degree-seeking program. Long story short, my work here is done and what a pleasure to have played a part in such great success of my student Jose and others who studied alongside him.

Excellent tutor!

Rachel is wonderful! This was our first experience using a tutor. My daughter, a high school freshman, missed 7 days of school due to an illness and was finding it difficult to catch up in Spanish. Rachel was amazing with her. She not only helped her catch up, but gave her a whole new way of looking at and learning Spanish. I'm sure the skills she learned will continue to help her in the future!

Very user friendly to the adult learner!

She is very organized and encouraging! Finding her in the site was scary because I wasn't sure of what I would get. Best find on the Internet.

Excellent Tutor!

Rachel is an excellent tutor who is willing to go the extra mile to get your child where they need to be for success. It is without hesitation that I highly recommend her. She is awesome!
