Dalton State College (Chemistry)
As mentioned above, my name is Karlie. I'm currently in the last year and a half of my undergraduate degree in chemistry at Dalton State College. Concerning chemistry, I've already taken General Chemistry I and II, Organic Chemistry I and II, Quantitative Analysis, and Instrumental Analysis. I've made A's in all of those classes except Organic I, in which I made a B. This semester, I am fortunate enough to be filling the position of "teacher's aide" in a Quantitative Analysis lab. I love the subject of chemistry, and I am currently weighing my options and considering graduate school, because I would love to teach analytical chemistry at the collegiate level. I feel like tutoring is a fantastic opportunity to help people through their courses while getting a better feel for teaching others. Two birds, one stone; everybody wins. :)
Concerning other subjects, I've also already taken (and done very well in) College Algebra, Statistics, Precalculus, Calculus I and II, and I'm currently taking Calculus III. I feel very comfortable with all of the math up to the level I'm at now, and I'm very confident in my ability to help others with it.
Although it is not my area of undergraduate study, I've also completed all of my required English classes with A's. Luckily for me, I've always been naturally proficient in English/grammar and writing, but the only real point of reference I can provide for you regarding the subject is that I made a 750/800 on the writing portion of the SAT's.
I hope you feel that I'm a good match for the job, and I'm more than happy to answer any questions you feel inclined to ask!

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
