About Gretchen

I am a former college adjunct professor who LOVES to learn and to teach. I have taught every age from Pre-K to college age and have found that the passion for learning is really the key to finding what keeps anyone from finding the way into the hardest genres of learning. I believe in the power of the mind and spirit to overcome any obstacle because as a teacher of special needs, gifted and students with tremendous personal trials I have seen amazing successes in my 15 years as a teacher. I love what I do as a teacher but I have found that the key to a strong tutor (or teacher) is finding out what an individual person's strengths are and using those to develop those areas that they need the most help strengthening. I look forward to working with you on your journey and hope to make your time memorable and a great personal success. I am a former college adjunct professor who LOVES to learn and to teach. Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
