I taught courses ranging from remedial math to algebra, geometry, and trigonometry. I also regularly applied upper level mathematics in my duties as an Operations Research Analyst in federal service. I adjust my style of tutoring to the needs and abilities of my students, much the same way as a coach develops a game plan according to the abilities of his players. The patience and understanding I exhibit has been demonstrated by the success my sons have attained, earning engineering degrees at Texas Tech University, and graduate level degrees at Johns Hopkins University.

Very knowledgeable.

Rom was well prepared. He was easy to work with. He met the goal of what was trying to be accomplished. He was patient. We’ll use him again! He’s very helpful.

Wonderful and knowledgeable

Tom was great and very patient with my son. He took the time to make sure he understood everything he went over. My son enjoyed his lesson immensely and we look forward to working with him in the near future.

Calm and sure

Tom was calm and confident in dealing with my son, Declan. He kept the lesson moving, but it didn't feel at all rushed. Anyone that can get him to ask "to do another one" when it comes to math, is one to go with.

Mary, 8 lessons with Tom

Prepared and patient

Tom helped my daughter with geometry. He came prepared and stayed longer than we had booked until she was comfortable working problems. I am expecting a better test result.

Warren, 6 lessons with Tom

Knowledgeable and organized

Tom, was very knowledgeable, organized, and understanding. He helped my son understand math, made it easy and even he gave him study note. Had given my one lesson so far, we are planning to continue to use Tom in the future.

Approachable Geometry Tutor

Tom is thorough in his tutoring skill. He is also very approachable and easy to talk to. My son said Tom really helped him understand because no only does he teach, but he encourages him and helps build his self confidence. Thank you Tom.

Very knowledgeable, patient and helpful!!!

We have used Tom all year and he was always prompt, patient and extremely helpful. He will be the first tutor we call if our son needs any type of math tutoring in the future.

Great first session

Tom showed up ready to get down to business! He quickly assessed where she was having difficulty, and focused in on those areas. My daughter really liked his teaching style and that he was very patient. I am excited to see how the next tutoring sessions go, and to see the confidence in my child continue to build.

Very helpful and patient. Easy to reach by e-mail.

Tom is really a good tutor for my daughter and has not only helped her understand Algebra, but has encouraged her and given her confidence in her understanding. Her sessions with Tom have really eased her "math anxiety." The results are excellent - she has made "A's" in Algebra and is not afraid of math anymore. We are so happy we found Tom! He has been wonderful.
