University of Georgia (English Education)
I'm an English Teacher/Coach with ten years experience in the classroom. My service also includes four years as a Yearbook Advisor and 3 years teaching English as a Second Language. I earned a Bachelors Degree in English Education from the University of Georgia and have been on the list of Who's Who Teachers of America for multiple years. I have taught high school and middle school students of varying abilities, and I have 5 children, three of whom have been homeschooled at various times; so, I am well versed in standardized testing in both primary and secondary schools. I have tutored conventional students, as well as ESOL students, in SAT, ACT,and GHSGT preparation. I also have my own editing service. I am confident that my years of experience in all of these areas will prove to be invaluable to you, as I know what is required for you to succeed in classroom curriculum and standardized tests. My certification and experience with foreign students may also prove to be useful to you, if your first language is not English, yet you wish to become more proficient. I'm here to encourage you and build you up. Hello,

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
