I was born and educated in England. I studied English and Math and started a college degree course in Math, but switched to Computer Studies in my second year and graduated.
I worked for 35 years in Computer IT departments, where I spent a good deal of time creating documents and working with numerical computations. I have given training courses in the past. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have given multiple training courses during my 30-year IT career, that I feel confident in tutoring this subject, specifically English & Math.

I studied logic in my college courses. In my IT career of over 30 years, I had to exhibit logic knowledge on a regular basis to solve complex problems related to the statistical measurement of TV viewership in the U.S.
My parents are from Poland, so I am bilingual. I spoke only Polish when I started school. I passed a 2-year British "Advanced Level" course in Polish after only 1 year (equivalent to passing a High School course in the U.S.). This involved translations and questions on assigned Polish literature.
