Hi, I'm Dr. Bob, the twins' grandpa, and my girls just love David. His approach with young children is remarkable. He shows much expertise from years of teaching. I'm proud of my girls' achievements, and pray that this current musical spark kindles into a lifetime of musical appreciation and enjoyment.
Lots of smiles and "thanks Mom!" after the lesson. Great approach with two veeeerrry different kids. Looking forward to many more lessons.
Before we had our daughter's first lesson my wife spoke to David and she was very much excited to have spoken to him and setup her first lesson. I learned directly from my wife and my daughter when I got home from work last night that David was very informative as far as his expectations from my daughter and us. My daughter shared with me that she really liked the way that he teaches and his stories. The mere fact that he knew 5 Seconds of Summer was a winner for her. I'm glad to write this review on him although I wasn't there. My wife is very rare to give out compliments. So my kudos to David for making a lasting first impression.
He's very good with my daughter. He is punctual and very understanding even though we are occasionally late. He is very talented in multiple instruments making him an all around good teacher.
He teaches our 7-year old and 9-year old boys guitar and keyboard/piano lessons. He works very well with them. He keeps them motivated and focused, even easily distracted ADHD one too. I can highly recommend David.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I played high school and College Basketball. I have coached ages 6 through 18 in Church leagues and various traveling teams.
I coached individuals over the last 20 years both girls and boys.
I am qualified in fitness, shooting, dribbling and passing. I can help young people respect the game and in turn help them use athletics to benefit the rest of their activities.
I am the Golf Coach at a high school in Marietta Ga. I have worked with young people and adults for 20 years teaching the fundamentals of Golf. Currently I have several students that attend my short game clinic and others that attend the playing coach clinic.
I have played professionally for 30 years. I have taught guitar and bass for the same time. I specialize in bluegrass, rock and classic Rock, folk and blues genres . I specialize in teaching children from 7 years old to high school. My program allows kids to quickly start playing and enjoying guitar. I teach basic piano and keyboard to strengthen understanding of music theory and to introduce another instrument to compliment their progress.
I have taught piano for over 20 years primarily to ages 8-20 years old. I start with scales and basic principles of music followed by chord structure and note reading. I am competent in theory as well as different forms of music. I teach Jazz, blues, country and rock.
I have been a songwriter for over 30 years. I have composed, written, and copyrighted original songs, soundtracks, and recorded many albums with credits.
I have played double bass and electric bass professionally for over 20 years. Styles include blues, bluegrass, jazz and rock. I strive to teach popular music rather than classical because that is my strongest area of expertise. I try to motivate my students to use music as a catalyst for other areas of their life.
All of my guitar and piano students learn how to sing as well as play in instrument. It's much easier to teach music when the student sings along with the song. I've been using this technique for the last 20 years and have had great success even if the student doesn't sing well. My own experience is from being a member of the University of Georgia men's glee club. And in addition I have been a member of the coral guild of Atlanta.
