Hi! I'm Apurva and I am a student at Medical College of Georgia as a part of Augusta University's 7 year accelerated medical program.

I have been tutoring for over 3 years and enjoy every bit of it! I have taught private, one-on-one classes and small group classes for students from 9th grade to college. Having gone through the rigorous college and medical school application processes myself, I have mentored many students through the same essays and applications. If your student is interested in attending college for pre-medical education or medical school, I can help craft an application with extracurriculars and essays that can help achieve their goals. I have had many successful students - one of whom has even received a full ride to Emory University.

I also work with students to improve their college admissions test scores. My students have seen increases in their SAT, PSAT and AP scores as well as improvement in their school grades and test taking abilities. In my classes, I focus on identifying each student's strengths and weaknesses to tailor classes that fit their needs. I am a big proponent of targeted practice (learning and practicing difficult topics until mastery is gained) as it produces the best results with my students. I always review the topics necessary for each test, give practice questions, and monitor student performances with mock exams.

If my experience does not speak for itself, I hope my past test scores do. I have received a perfect score (1600) on the SAT I Math (800) and Evidence-based Reading and Writing sections (800). In addition, I have received a 5 on the AP English Language and Composition exam and scored above the 95th percentile on the MCAT.
