About Sasha

Bio

I transitioned from the legal field (corporate M&A lawyer) when I realized how much I enjoyed teaching. I have been coaching creative and academic writing to children and adults, as well as legal writing to lawyers for over 5 years and served as a mentor for gifted children for over 15 years. In addition to teaching, I have also published textbooks and e-learning courses on e-mail writing, presentations, negotiations, U.S. business practices, energy law, and general English as second language...

When I'm not coaching, I do instructional design, write fantasy novels, and oversee My English Library, an interactive ESL platform.

College Counseling

I have spent the past several years acting as a counselor to high school and college students who are either seeking admissions as a first-year or transfer student to US undergraduate and graduate institutions. As part of the process, I assist students with assessing their interests, identifying matching schools, completing their applications, critiquing their admissions essays, and selecting art portfolios and descriptions. The students I have worked with have successfully applied to Ivy League schools, the UC system, fine arts schools, state-run schools and prestigious liberal arts colleges.
