In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I am an adjunct Professor at the GRU satellite campus for East Georgia State College, Masters of Science in Biology, B.S in Biology with a minor in chemistry, and accepted to the 34th class at Mercer University School of Medicine (M.D.). I have taught for East Georgia, Georgia Southern University, and UGA collectively for 7 years.
At first, my thesis work for my Masters Degree at Georgia Southern University was botany based. I took Biology of Plants, Botany, and Rarity in Plants. I specifically created a thesis project to identify the threats and create an action plan to benefit the endangered Persistent Trillium in Northwest Georgia. I was funded by U.S. Fish & Wildlife for twenty four thousand dollars for my research as well as provided lodging by the Georgia Power Company. I headed a project between the Georgia State Park's Rangers, the Georgia Department of Natural Resources, U.S. Fish & Wildlife, and The Georgia Power Company to help protect this perennial herbaceous plant. Unfortunately, my health did not allow me to finish the research, however I am more than qualified to tutor in botany.
I have a Masters of Science in Biology from Georgia Southern University with a concentration on molecular biology (think Chemistry of life). I have a B.S. in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. Also, I have been accepted for the 34th class of Mercer University School of Medicine where I will begin to obtain my M.D.
I have a masters in Biology from Georgia Southern University. My coursework included graduate level Genetics, Molecular Genetics, Molecular Biotechniques, and Evolution. In all courses I received an A. My thesis research utilized PCRs and electorphoretics to discern different species of the Anopheles quadrimaculatus complex in Southeast Georgia. I ran all my own gels and submitted my own proposals for all my individual research.
