Hi, my name is Chisom, I recently graduated from Georgia Institute of Technology with a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering along with a concentration in Robotics & Automation Systems. I finished with straight As in my math and science classes; I always appreciated the concepts I learned and always sought for how concepts were applicable in reality. I satisfied my hunger indirectly by helping my friends, classmates, and other students understand difficult concepts. So I became a very motivated math tutor always willing to help students improve grades and understand several Math concepts. Of course, I always attended all my lectures and sought to understand the professor's as well as teaching assistant's approach to solving problems and simplifying concepts.

I provide step-by-step detailed solutions and explanations to students. I love seeing students comprehend concepts they thought to have been difficult. I have had passed experiences working with the Mathematics Department at the Academic Success Center at my first learning institution in Math classes ranging from College Algebra, Trigonometry, Pre-calculus, Calculus 1, 2 and 3 and Linear Algebra. I look for the simplest approach as well as providing pictorial/graphical explanations so that students can grasp concepts better by not only memorizing theories, formulas and identities. More so, I also encourage students to solve problems after learning a topic; that way the concept is learned better and fully comprehended. I have done all forms of tutoring in the past with the exception of online tutoring, I have held one-on-one tutoring sessions and, a classroom format of tutoring/recitation. I am willing to hold any session depending on requests, availability, session scheduling and number of students.

I hope after each session, students would appreciate the subject matter and would be willing to solve problems using resources in the right manner. I would want for tutored students to be able to explain to fellow classmates and help them grasp concepts

MATLAB,

MATLAB

I completed my Intro to Computing class based on MATLAB a few years ago and I attained a certification in MATLAB from Mathworks; the company that created MATLAB. I have also used MATLAB for robotics and automation research and projects in ME 2016 - Computing Techniques, ME 4451 - Robotics, ME 4452 - Control of Dynamic Systems, ME 4012 - Motion Systems & Control and ME 4056 - Mechanical Engineering Systems Laboratory.
Solidworks

Solidworks

I used SolidWorks extensively in my first degree in Mechanical Engineering. I worked on projects in my ME 1770 - Intro to Engineering Design, and ME 2110 - Creative Decisions & Design. I also helped design chassis members for HyTech Racing Formula SAE on SolidWorks using the Sheet Metal and Structural toolbars. I am also certified in this software.

Sports/Recreation

Chess,

Chess

I started playing chess when I was 10 years old. I was initially intrigued by the uniqueness of the pieces and how it was different from regular American checkers or Chinese checkers or Drafts as some would call it. After several hours of practice with my classmates, I was awarded the best Chess player at the end of Middle School. I won 3rd place at a couple of local competitions for participants in my age bracket. Ever since, I have been improving my skills in Chess through practice.
Soccer

Soccer

I played pick-up soccer when I was in high school and sometimes we used a full-size goal post and I sometimes opted as a goalkeeper. I was very good at stopping shots because I had the necessary reflexes and a member of the school soccer team recommended/elevated me to serve as the House Soccer Team Goalie. We went on a very impressive streak while I played this position. In college, I was interested in officiating some intramural soccer games for regular college students and fraternities. I enjoyed it because I wanted to get a feel of how it was ensuring the rules of the game were closely followed.

Highly recommend!

Last minute I needed help with math and luckily Chisom was quick to respond. (On Mother's Day no less) I was having a lot of trouble figuring out my college math class, which is all online due to Covid 19. He was great at breaking down seemingly complex problems, so that I did great on my quiz. He was also understanding and flexible about making a schedule change. I definitely plan on reaching out to him again for help. He is very smart and helpful!

Humble, Approachable, Dedicated, Knowledgeable, Off The Clock Working, Enthusiastic.

This Tutor was extraordinary. I have had help me with an assignment but sometimes I do not understand it. I told this Tutor that I had no experience in MatLab before and only little knowledge in the topic. He continuously tried to work with me so that I would understand it and not just why certain implications did not or did work but everything in between. Chisom did not make me feel patronized in my knowledge in MATLAB but helped me and was grateful on how fast i was catching on because of his teaching. Great Tutor I wish i could give 1000 stars.

Fantastic Tutor.

Chisom taught me numerical integration on MatLab and simple coding that comes along with it. We went through a challenging problem that I was given by my professor but Chisom was able to help me work through it. He's a great tutor.
