About Brock

Hello, LSAT takers. I'm Brock. A little about me: I work for Alston & Bird, one of the largest corporate law firms in Atlanta, where I work with the litigation and trial practice group. When I'm not at Alston & Bird, I enjoy helping students reach their full potential on the LSAT.

I scored a 173 on the LSAT. It is a tough test, but anyone can learn how to beat it. With the right strategies and practice, you can crush the LSAT just like I did.

Over the years I have developed a comprehensive and effective LSAT curriculum complete with review sheets, sample problems, and interactive lessons covering every question type. I begin every unit by introducing students to the theory behind the questions they will see on the LSAT. We then work through practice problems, which gives students the ability to engage with actual LSAT questions. Finally during review, I will call attention to the recycled strategies test makers use to trick students. My three-step teaching method will give students the confidence they need to answer questions quickly and accurately on test day.

Before I begin lessons with students, I recommend that they take a diagnostic practice LSAT. I will then grade their diagnostic test, analyze it, and then create an individualized curriculum according to students’ strengths and weaknesses. No one learns in the same way or at the same pace. LSAT prep should not be any different.

For students who know exactly what they want to cover during our lessons, we can skip the diagnostic exam and go straight into specific questions, concepts, or testing strategies. In these instances, students only need send me what they want to cover during our lesson, and I will create a lesson plan tailored to their wishes. I am flexible and willing to adapt to whatever will be most beneficial to each student.

My professors, employers, and peers have told me that I am an excellent writer. Some people call me a “Grammar Nazi,” while others roll their eyes when I correct their use of prepositional object pronouns. For those reasons, I am the perfect person to proofread your essay, resume, or any other document. I am naturally detail-oriented, so let me know if you would like to improve your writing and keep those annoying typographical errors to a minimum.

In the end, I want to help my students as much as possible. Therefore I welcome any additional resources or suggestions that students or parents can offer. Feel free to contact me with questions or to schedule a lesson. I look forward to working with you.

Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Logic

Mastering logical concepts is fundamental to doing well on the LSAT (Law School Admittance Test). I have scored in the 98.6 percentile (172) on a real LSAT, and received a perfect score on both the logical reasoning and logic games sections. I have also tutored my peers on the logic portions of the LSAT. When tutoring, I focus on a specific concepts/question types and then work through different practice problems.

LSAT

I scored a 173 on the LSAT, and I have received perfect scores on Logic Games, Logical Reasoning, and Reading Comprehension sections. I am also familiar with both PowerScore and 7Sage teaching methods.

I am currently a varsity runner at Furman, and I have years of experience working with different training plans.
