San Francisco native who brings Silicon Valley experience, enthusiasm and a unique style of learning. Having taught at Fortune 500 Companies for 4+ years (including, but not limited too, Cisco, Genentech, Gilead, The Federal Bank of Reserve, Bank of the West, Nasa, etc.), it is my mission to unearth hidden gems to secure you in your present position, and enhance general knowledge; which will in turn allow you to take back time. Do you stumble and struggle with Software or Hardware, deferring your day to day duties? If this line defines you, x2 hours of your time is all that is required to confidently maneuver through Programs, returning to tasks at hand and potentially taking time to show off new techniques to curious co-workers.

I enjoy teaching others of all ages, although my focus in recent years have been specific to Undergraduates, and Adults. I enjoy a personal approach, helping to tackle specific intentions and long-term goals. Regardless of Profession, I can relay valued information employers are expecting employees to have secured prior to either applying to a particular position, standing out for that next promotion, or making a lateral movement.

Computers have been a long-time interest, my Career, and specialty for 11+ Years. My areas of focus pertain to the following Programs and Devices; Microsoft Suite 97-03 thru 07-16: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook (Basic, Intermediate, and Advanced). MS SharePoint (Power User, Administrator). Google Apps for Work: gMail, Calendar, Hangouts, Google+, Drive. Operating Systems: Devices: PC/Mac, Surface, iPad, Tablets. **Microsoft Certified Professional and Google Curriculum creator**

Along with Technology, I have an extreme passion for Public Speaking. 10 years ago I was no different than the average individual in respect to speaking in public, which was an extraordinary fear of mine. To overcome this obstacle, I immerse myself in a job that was people facing and predominantly 'on stage.' For nearly 2 years I hosted subject specific sessions to audiences of 5 - 200+. During this time, students expressed great interest in a professional platform to increase confidence, communication, and comfort while presenting. Since these requests, I have consistently worked with students to accomplish personal goals; i.e. Speech competitions, career-oriented presentations, job interviews. Organizations I am affiliated with are Toastmasters International and The Moth.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Microsoft Outlook

I'm a Microsoft Suite expert who frequently consults Clients either 1:1 or in a group regarding their technical intentions. Specific to Outlook, I work with individuals on general use, navigation, unearthing hidden gems, maximizing multi-tasking potential and getting organized. My favorite commands include the Quick Access Toolbar, Flags/Alerts (tasks), Categories, custom Quick Steps, and Filers.

Public Speaking

I have an extreme passion for Public Speaking as it was a fear of mine for many years. To accomplish this goal, I decided to take it on full-throttle and immerse myself in a job which was people facing and predominantly 'on stage.' For nearly 2 years I hosted subject specific sessions to audiences of 5 - 200+. After teaching some sessions, I had students who expressed great interest in a professional platform to increase confidence while presenting. Since these requests, I have consistently worked with x4 students on a monthly basis with either Speech competitions and simply position oriented presentations. Due to my successes, as well as my students, I would love the chance to work with like individuals on Wyzant. Thank you in advance for your considerations!

Extremely knowledgeable!

Tutoring with Ally worked really well for me. Her learning assessment gave insight to what I knew and what I needed to learn. Gave us a good starting point. She helped me with my project with instructions for me to practice. Plan to schedule more sessions.
