About Mark

I graduated from Georgia Tech with a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering with highest honors in May of 2015. While pursuing this degree, I served as a teaching assistant for a biosystems modeling class as well as a team based introduction to biomedical engineering class. I also performed undergraduate research involving developing computer simulations of brains afflicted with alcoholism and schizophrenia and analyzed drug-target interactions through an internship with a major pharmaceutical company. I then returned to Georgia Tech in January 2016 to pursue an M.S. in bioengineering with the eventual goal of earning a Ph.D.

I have a passion for learning and have been tutoring fellow students since high school. I have always enjoyed it and I find it very rewarding to help others learn new skills. I also feel it helps me gain a deeper understanding of the material and I appreciate that students can also teach me by showing me a different perspective as well.

I have always had a strong interest in math and have gotten A's in every math class I have taken since middle school. In high school I took AP Calculus BC and AP Statistics and earned a 5/5 on both AP exams. I also enrolled in Georgia Tech Distance Calculus II and III while I was in high school and the research and internship experience that I mentioned above relied on an aptitude for advanced mathematics.

If you are interested in being tutored by me, please contact me and let me know what subjects or topics I can assist you with. I am usually available most evenings and weekends and my schedule is flexible. I look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,

Mark

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
