About Christopher

I am part-time assistant professor of art at Kennesaw State and occasional instructor at Callanwolde Fine Arts Center, and I am available for private lessons in the following subjects: drawing, painting (oil or acrylic), art history. I am passionate about my subject and I work hard to inspire my students.

I earned my MFA from the Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia in 2008. Since that time I have taught acrylic painting continuing education to adults at Abington Adult School, drawing classes at Callanwolde Fine Arts Center, and 2-D Design, Color Theory, Drawing, a Creativity class, and Art Appreciation classes at Kennesaw State University. I have an active art career with an extensive resume, showing across the US and internationally.

I hope you will consider my services. I care a lot about what I do as both an artist and a teacher. Thank you and have a great day!

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Drawing

I am qualified to teach drawing for a few good reasons. First, I have earned my MFA (the highest degree given for my subject) from one of the best art schools in the country, the Tyler School of Art. Second, I have an extensive career as a professional artist stretching 20 years, showing across the US and internationally. Finally, I have taught and currently teach drawing at Callanwolde Fine Arts Center and Kennesaw State University, where I am a part-time assistant professor in the Fine Arts department.
