I was born and raised in Belgrade, Serbia (formerly Yugoslavia), where I attended the Belgrade High School of Philology with a concentration on the German and English Languages and was the Valedictorian of my graduating class.
I continued my education at Ruprecht-Karls-Universität in Heidelberg, Germany where I received my BA and MA in German as a Foreign Language and also worked as a graduate student teaching assistant.
I completed my PhD at the University of Montenegro while working as a German lecturer and was later awarded the title of assistant professor.
I currently live in the wonderful city of Atlanta, Georgia where I work as an instructor of German at Emory University.
I specialized in teaching the German language with a focus on improving knowledge and proficiency using a holistic approach to language learning.

I focus primarily on achieving a higher level of proficiency through practical and relevant exercises using materials one would encounter in their everyday life. I incorporate the most modern methodologies of second-language acquisition and use up-to-date teaching materials from a number of German publishers.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
