About Alison

It is my personal and professional mission to expand horizons through art (its creation, critique, and appreciation). I am dedicated to my students and their artistic development. I have experience teaching photography, 2-D and 3-D design (drawing, painting, illustration), mixed media, graphic design, art history and theory to a diverse range of students (ranging from Pre-K throughout Continuing Ed, elementary schools-universities). I have a Masters in Fine Art. I work as an Adjunct Professor in Photography, Graphic Design, and Art Appreciation.

I have served as a reference librarian and worked with students on research projects as well as a writing mentor on essays and papers. I enjoy helping my students put together their creative portfolios and helping them apply for college, internships, and jobs. My expertise with digital and analog media will be an asset to all types students- whether editing photographs on Photoshop or trying to ace an Art history final.

I am diligent and detail-oriented educator. My warm demeanor makes me approachable and pleasant to work with. I am comfortable teaching Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Lightroom and Bridge. I am also Mac and PC literate and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Please reach out to me with any questions and to schedule a lesson. I look forward to speaking with you!
