About Randy

After reviewing the position qualification description, I feel my educational background in forensic pathology and hands-on experience and training as a forensic firearm and tool mark examiner would be highly valuable to your team.

In an effort to specialize in forensic science, I earned my Graduate Certificate in Forensics Death Investigation - Forensic Pathology from the University of Florida’s College of Pharmacy. I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice with an emphasis in Law Enforcement from the University of Mississippi. I am currently enrolled at Stevenson University completing a Master of Science in Forensic Studies with a specialization in Criminalistics.

I have four years of experience as a firearm and tool mark examiner with the Department of Defense (DoD) United States Army Criminal Investigation Laboratory an ASCLD-LAB accredited laboratory. I received training from United States Army Criminal Investigation Laboratory’s Training and Technology Division (TTD) in conjunction with National Forensic Technology Center (NFTC) consisting of firearm and tool mark examination Program of Instruction (POI) in accordance with the Association of Firearm and Tool mark Examiners’ training manual. I have a total five years of experience in firearm and tool mark examination to include microscopic comparison of ammunition specimens, tool mark examinations, shot shell and shot shell component examinations, distance / GSR determination, shooting reconstruction, and serial number restoration.

I have enclosed my resume and supplemental documentation for your viewing pleasure. Thank you for your time and consideration.

Sincerely,

Randy
