About Frank

I am a recent math teacher in Gwinnett County, Georgia and have been tutoring for several years. My specialties are algebra, geometry, statistics, and math prep for the SAT and ACT, for middle and high school students. I know that math can be confusing and sometimes overwhelming for many students, and my goal is to build confidence in clients by emphasizing and mastering the building blocks of math as we tackle more and more challenging concepts.

I have earned my Bachelors and Masters degrees and have also taught college level statistics and finance courses. I have a flexible schedule and can meet during day and evening hours.

I give each student the individual instruction that he or she needs to begin to feel comfortable with difficult concepts and problems. Given my level of experience, I also know that there may be more than one approach to solving math problems, and I will help each student find the one that is most appropriate for him or her. My success is truly measured by the success of my students.

In addition, my undergraduate degree was in Economics, and I have recent experience in tutoring the Georgia Economics Social Studies course. From my experience, Economics is a highly theoretical course in which many students may struggle without real world examples. I am able to fill in this gap by providing real world scenarios to assist students with these novel concepts.

Please contact me to discuss your specific needs and to arrange an initial session. I am ready and eager to help!

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

ACT Math

I have had formal training on the math section of the ACT and have been tutoring students on the test for two years.

Frank worked on AP Stat with my son. He was easy to understand and immediately made my son comfortable in their first session. He had prepared for the session in advance and was very accommodating. We look forward to working with Frank again.
