My name is Javaris and I'm an ex-collegiate athlete. My career was cut short by an injury but my love has never left the game. I began coaching about 10 years ago after completing college. I have coached and trained all type of athlete's ranging from big time Division I talent down to YMCA talent. In addition, I have worked with all ages stemming from 5 years of age up to collegiate age athletes.
I'm originally from Florida in which for the past 4 years I have been apart of one of the top Nike Programs in the country in Each 1 Teach 1. This elite AAU organization has produced some of the top high school talent in the country who have gone to play basketball for programs like Duke, UNC, and Kentucky to name a few. Over the past years they have also assisted in helping players make it to the NBA. Prior to this, I was coaching/training High School talent for Oak Ridge High School in Orlando.
I have extensive knowledge in the basketball world and I am always learning. I really invest in myself to make sure I'm learning the best practices. My training is predicated on hard work, energy, fundamentals, and discipline! My goal is to get you out of your comfort zone! I will push your body and skills to limits that you didn't know you had. Our workouts will be serious and challenging but they will be fun! I not only tell you what to do but I explain to you why you are doing it. I find that this approach helps you to better understand the game and to perfect the skills in a more rapid manner. My motto is No games, No excuses, Just Results! Come join the team and let's get it done!! My name is Javaris and I'm an ex-collegiate athlete. My career was cut short by an injury but my love has never left the game. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
