Flagler College (Elementary education)
My philosophy on education is that all children can learn regardless of their situation. All children have hopes, dreams, and aspirations that need to be unleashed and cultivated by a special teacher. As a seasoned educator, for the past decade, it has been my duty to help children find their niche in life to help produce productive members in society. Currently, I teach fifth grade all subjects in addition to tutorial and summer school. I possess a Master's Degree in Education with a concentration on literacy and a ESOL endorsement. The formula and tactics I use to get my students to learn is hard work + dedication + repetition = success. This system seems to be very effective, especially since the results my students' experience have been nothing short of great. If I am hired to be your instructor and mentor you will not be disappointed! Greetings,

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
As a child I went to numerous basketball camps. In high school I played for my school all four years. I coached three years for the boys and girls club and parks and recreation. Basketball is my favorite sport in which I enjoy watching at the collegiate & professional level. In addition to playing as a hobby four times a week.
I've been cooking since I was seven years old, helping out with dinner on a nightly basis. I grew up in a family where both parents were chefs and taught me all that I know. Some of my specialty dishes are Shepard's Pie, Fettuccine Alfredo with chicken and broccoli, Asian stir fry, lamb, steak, chicken tenders, tacos and grilled foods.
I've taught grades K-5 in the elementary realm for the past 10 years. Also I possess a Masters of Education degree with a concentration on Reading. In addition to providing tutorial services and summer school to elementary children.
I taught Kindergarten, second and third grade in Florida, where I was trained to teach students phonics using alphabet sound cards. The cards consisted of all 26 letters of the alphabet, including vowels. Each letter had a picture that correlated with its sound, in addition to all of the ways that particular sound could be spelled. I also instructed students how to become better readers using the five components of reading which entail phonics, vocabulary, fluency, phonemic awareness and comprehension. I also have a masters degree in literacy.
I ran varsity Track and Cross-Country all four years of high school. I was district and region champion in both. In my sophomore year, I ran a 4.35 mile, 1.58 second 800 meter dash and anchored the 4x400 relay team. I was offered several scholarships to run in college based off my success.
