I am an English teacher and writing coach who has experience working with gifted and advanced students as well as with students who have ADHD, Asperger Syndrome, NVLD, dyslexia, and auditory processing difficulties. I have experience as a personal ADHD coach for all ages. I also specialize in motivating students to perform at their ability level. I have experience working with *college students* and adults, as well.

"Research paper rescue" is another specialty of mine. If you are overwhelmed by a research paper or an essay assignment, contact me! I will help you get control of the project. I will also teach you tricks and tips that will make a real difference for you. If writing assignments have always been your nightmare (or your child's nightmare), I can definitely help. I can also help with study skills and organizational skills. My youngest client is in second grade, and my oldest client is a college student in her fifties.

I also work with students who have been bullied at school, coaching them to help them regain their self-confidence and to show them how to handle other students' attempts to intimidate them. I am a Ph.D. candidate in the field of family therapy.

Bottom Line: I am patient, sensitive, compassionate, and extremely competent. My students feel supported, affirmed, and motivated!

Knowledgeable and patient tutor

Lea was great. She helped my daughter organize her research material and was very patient with her. A lot of great work was accomplished during the session. My daughter feels a lot more confident in her ability to deliver a great paper and presentation.

Excellent tutor.

Lea is a terrific tutor. She has been working on writing with my son, who is in 7th grade, for the past several months. I find Lea to be very conscientious, thorough and patient in working with my son. He responds well to her calm, patient and respectful demeanor. I feel that there has been a huge improvement in my son's writing ability since he began working with Lea.

Awesome Tutor!

My daughter took the SAT in seventh grade. We obtained the services of Lea to help her prepare for the essay/written portion. She did this and more! We were very happy with the results! After the SAT prep, Lea and our daughter worked on several literary studies including vocabulary, comprehension, and writing with grammar review when needed. She was very patient and encouraging. I would highly recommend Lea and plan to use her again!

Great Tutor

Lea is a wonderful tutor. She's very patient and her experience working with children with learning disabilities really shows. Her ideas and methods help her student get the most out of the lessons. My daughter's reading and writing has improved and she remembers many of the strategies Ms. Lea has shown her.
