Hi, I'm Marissa! I am a passionate and enthusiastic computer science and math tutor dedicated to creating positive educational outcomes for all my students. I graduated with highest honors from Georgia Tech, earning a bachelor’s degree in computer science with concentrations in artificial intelligence and human-computer interaction.

I’ve always had a passion for education – from working as a ski instructor at age 15 to now creating K-12 STEM education programs for Georgia Tech, I’ve always genuinely cared about learning and student success. I’ve been teaching online computer science classes for over 1 year and have extensive experience teaching Java, Python, HTML/CSS, and artificial intelligence at the high school level. I also have significant experience tutoring AP Computer Science A and AP Computer Science Principles. With a strong STEM background and a deep understanding of mathematical concepts, I leverage my academic experience to guide students through challenging math topics and foster their problem-solving skills.

I believe that learning should be engaging, and I utilize a variety of teaching methods to keep my students motivated and enthusiastic. I know that EVERYONE can be successful in school, and I take great pride in helping my students reach their academic goals. Outside of tutoring, I enjoy reading, cooking, and going on hikes.
