I grew up in Macon, Georgia. I did all kinds of fun stuff in high school. I did clubs and activities. I was on sports teams. I took all the hardest classes I could find. I had this hunger for knowledge and a burning desire to be the best person I could (or maybe I was just trying to get into college). I wrecked my high school. I was captain of teams and clubs, I got straight A's and I did very well on the SAT. I even helped half my wrestling team graduate.
As early as elementary school I remember explaining concepts to my friends. I'd help them with their homework and whisper the answer to them if our teacher felt like calling someone out. Knowing everything means nothing unless you can explain. Einstein said, 'if you can't explain simply, you don't understand'. I can explain simply because I really truly understand. Everyone has within her the capacity for greatness and everyone deserves to understand the world around us. Let me help you realize that greatness.
2090 first time SAT score, with an upper 600's in Math. I was captain of the Math team (nerd alert) and won the Annual Bibb County Math Individual Competition seven years in a row. I tutored my peers in high school and college and it's something that I really enjoy.
I have a B.S. in Biology with lots of coursework in physics and chemistry. I really enjoyed these classes in high school and with the right direction, these subjects can be so much easier than teachers make them. What I like about Science and Math is that they're always true, no matter what. And to me, that's beautiful

Very knowledgeable and patient. He has a knack for explaining difficult topics so that the kids get it. Very happy with Joe. We will continue to use his services as long as necessary.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I took several chemistry classes at UGA for undergrad and got in the 97th percentile for chemistry on the PCAT.
In high school I got a 2090 on the SAT. Just last week I got a 99 on the PCAT- a test very similar to but more difficult than the SAT. Across Elementary, Middle and High School I won several Math contests. I enjoy math because I understand it and because I understand it I can teach it.
I think I got in the upper 700's in reading when I took the SAT and more recently I took the PCAT (pharmacy's MCAT) and got the highest possible score on the verbal section. The reading section works off a few basic patterns and once you know what to look for it becomes substantially easier.
