Originally from Atlanta, Georgia I have been involved in education for four years and counting. My quest with education first started in 2010, as I was a Teaching Assistant in language arts and history at Carver Alternative School in San Angelo, Texas. As I was receiving my Master's Degree at Angelo State University (ASU) in Texas I became a Teaching Assistant for the Kinesiology department at ASU. After successfully completing my graduate degree I then went into the classroom on the middle school level and taught 7th grade social studies and 7th/8th grade athletics. Currently I am completing an internship at the University of Georgia (UGA) as an Assistant Coach with the Track & Field team, as well as the RTG Associate for the UGA Math Department.
Working with kids is a passion and strongly believe that each of them has the potential to be great in their own way!

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
Receiving a minor in Kinesiology I have learned a lot about fitness and the different aspects that it covers. For a year and half of my graduate school journey I was a Graduate Assistant for the Kinesiology department and taught physical activity classes with the main goal of promoting healthy living and fitness to the student body. In addition to teaching, I also spent two years working at Gold's Gym.
Track & Field has been in my life from the very beginning, as my father is a track coach. I begin getting involved in the sport at the age of seven and have yet to stop. Becoming a successful runner throughout my years I received a full athletic scholarship to college. After my running ended in college I then pursued a career as a coach where I have coached summer teams, middle school, high school and now currently college student-athletes in the sport of track & field.
Sports of all kind runs deep in my life, and volleyball is one of my favorites. Started playing the sport of volleyball at the age of thirteen for a travel team. The love of the sport developed so much that I continued to play throughout my high school career; although I did receive athletic offers to play in college I felt it was best to pursue another path. Throughout my college years I continued to play the sport for fun and studied the game more closely, this did help me become a teacher and coach of the volleyball sport.
