Berry College (Math)
Hi, I am a recent college graduate from Berry College with a BS in Mathematics and a minor in Business Administration. I started working at the UGA Science Library in June of 2015 and love helping all levels of students in the Athens Community. I have just begun working on my Masters in Environmental Planning and Design. While attending Berry College, I played on the Varsity Women's soccer team and tutored in the college's Math Lab as well as at the local Open Door Home. Therefore, I have experience tutoring students ages 9-22. Since I graduated with a mathematics degree, I have taken my fair share of math classes. Thus, I can tutor almost any field of mathematics. Thanks!

I got 60's on test in pre-calc before and I asked her to help me and after 3 sessions I got a 94 on my test!!! She explain things so well!! She explains concepts in a way that is easy to understand.
Hana had a bit of a hard time understanding in the beginning. Caitlin was patient and in the end, Hana understood the processes for the math she is currently studying.
Caitlin is extremely patient and really helped explain all the rules of limits. She broke things down to where I was able to understand and didn't mind having to explain things multiple times.
Continues to help me so much in college algebra and provides me with a lot of practice to help me make better grades.
She took it step by step and was patient with helping me figure out how to do the problems!
Caitlin was very helpful in tutoring my son in Pre-Calc. He was struggling and I needed to get him up to speed in order to complete his final. She was very patient and made sure he understood everything and he was well prepared! He did well on the final. She helped him with his confidence as well.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
In high school, I was a part of a junior varsity team that had a record of 40-2. Also, while in college, I was the captain of my intramural 5-on-5 basketball team. I led my team to two consecutive championship games.
I received an A in Discrete Mathematics at College. The course covered sets, symbolic logic, proof structures, graph theory, sequences, recursion, and more. I have also taken many logic and proof courses that use Discrete Mathematics. Therefore, I have a lot of practice and experience in the subject.
Fitness has always been a big part of my life. I have played many sports including soccer, basketball, cross country, tennis, softball, racquetball, and rock climbing. I have taken two different strength and conditioning classes and I also had to go to the weight room twice a week while playing college soccer. I am able to pick out a workout routine depending on what a person is looking for.
I have earned an "A" grade in all 4 college courses in logic that I have taken. The four courses include Critical Thinking, Proof Structures, Discrete Mathematics, and Introduction to Advanced Mathematics. All included truth tables, fallacies, logical connectives, set theory, proofs, recursion, logical connectors, conditional and compound statements, relations, functions, tautologies, contradictions, and logical equivalences.
I am captain for the NCAA Division III Women's soccer team at Berry College. In the past I played for the NCAA Division II Women's soccer team at Lindenwood University in St. Louis, Missouri. When I was younger I played club soccer for Ajax Elite, based in St. Louis.
In college, I played Varsity soccer and worked 3 part-time jobs all while earning a 3.99 GPA. With that being said, I had to develop amazing time management techniques and study skills. I do not believe in procrastination and like to have my homework completed way in advance. I am a strong advocate for creating flashcards to help study for tests and quizzes. I also believe in doing multiple practice problems so that the content will stick. Finally, I believe that playing educational games also allow make studying more beneficial and fun!
I was number 1 seed on the junior varsity team at my high school. I also attended a summer tennis camp every summer while in school. I have helped out at the camp and have taught my younger sister (12 years old) how to play tennis.
