Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

ADD/ADHD

I have extensive experience team teaching inclusion science courses. This involved diverse class populations as there were at most 11 special ed students in each class with the remainder of the students being classified as regular ed. The special ed student groups were also diverse as they generally had varied disabilities. I tend to identify with students with special needs and have been successful assisting their learning.

Throughout the years I always worked closely with the Technology colleges in Georgia. Many of the technical colleges offered opportunities my special ed and regular ed students could take advantage of.
