I am a doctoral candidate working on a dissertation in linguistics at the University of Georgia. I am also certifying as a high school teacher in English Language Arts. I have decades of experience with classroom teaching, educational demonstrations and talks, and private tutoring. I have taught English composition, ESOL, the history of English, and have experience reading German, Latin, Welsh, and a variety of other languages.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
