In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
My life's work in chemistry began when I was 14 years old. Over the last forty years I have devoted my life to study and research in this field and to helping others succeed in a subject that I find intellectually stimulating, exciting and fun. I have been teaching chemistry since the late 1970's in classroom and tutoring settings. Understanding the natural world is my obsession, sharing my insights with students is my privilege.
I am a Ph.D. Physical Chemist and have taught Organic Chemistry for several years. I am very familiar with the skills required to perform well on the MCAT and have tutored numerous students privately. I am very familiar with test taking strategies and have taken both the GRE and LSAT.
