I have been in education for a number of years. I taught special needs students with mildly intellectual challenges. After retirement, I decided to continue to help students with their academic achievements through tutoring. I have been a tutor for six years. I have tutored small groups in elementary, middle, and high school settings. My other experiences with tutoring have been in students' homes and in public and/or school media centers.

I have taught elementary, and middle school students with learning disabilities and mental disabilities to be more adaptive within school settings. I have read and written IEPs, taught students on their functional levels in reading, language arts, math, social studies, science, geography, communication/social skills, and life skills to be better productive in school and in the community.
