I have been working in the area of education for the past 15 years and most recently taught engineering and architecture at Northview High School and performed my student teaching at North Forsyth High School teaching coordinate algebra. I hold a Georgia State Teaching Certificate in Mathematics (6-12), a Doctoral degree in Industrial Engineering from Purdue University with a specialty in Human Factors, and am a leading researcher and author on the creation and validation of online education courses containing complex material. I also have a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Purdue University.
I have sponsored over 100 engineering workshops and events for K-12 students as a faculty sponsor for the student chapter of the Society of Women Engineers over the past two decades. I completely understand the application of mathematics to the real world! My main research interests are the methods and models of human learning with regards to delivering complex information for instructional purposes. Recently, I was an assistant professor at Southern Polytechnic State University in the Industrial Engineering Technology program teaching statistics and the Sociocultural Tactical Area Manager at Applied Systems Intelligence, Inc where I modeled populations and developed artificial intelligent software for the Department of Defense. I am a member of the American Society of Engineering Education (ASEE) and a member of the Institute of Industrial Engineers (IIE).
I am a certified Georgia State Math Teacher (6-12), and tutor Algebra I and II, Geometry, Statistics, and SAT Math.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
