I have extensive experience in both ESL and foreign language education (German and French). I have worked as a teacher, tutor, substitute, etc. for all grade levels from kindergarten through adult.

In addition to German and French, I have also taken beginning classes in Japanese and Spanish.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. I received K-12 Certification in ESL in 1995 from Indiana-Purdue University at Indianapolis. I have had many years of experience as a tutor, teacher, substitute, etc. at the elementary level and beyond. Please view my explanation on the dashboard section of my tutor profile. Thanks!
