“**Great Tutor**”

My passion is to launch students to become our next mathematicians, engineers and scientists. I am a GA certified T5 Teacher of 6-12 grade Physics, 6-12 grade Math with a Gifted In-Field Endorsement. I have taught 7th grade Math, 8th grade Math and Physical Science, 10th grade Physical Science, 11th grade Physics, AP Physics B and AP Calculus AB

My son really thought his tutoring session went well and he better understands the concepts that were covered. We look forward to working with Bill again with the hopes of improved physics grades.

Approved subjects are in **bold**.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Consists of Algebra, Geometry and Trigonometry questions. Formulas will not be given on the test; students are expected to know basic formulas and computation methods. Since the test is based on skills, it is very possible to improve an ACT score through practice and review.

ACT Science tests primarily test your scientific ability to reason through and set up scientific investigations. If you have completed a number of science labs in high school, you will do well.

In Algebra 1, math students begin adding abstract and spatial thinking and analysis

Algebra 2 introduces exponential relationships and conical plane graphs. To be successful spatial and logarithmic thinking is practiced and learned.

Civil Engineering includes the design of our communities infrastructure, buildings, water ways, pipes, dams, bridges, piers, seawalls.

This discipline studies statics and dynamics (vibrations) and materials

Modeling systems are based on geometric, trigonometric and calculi math models, field surveys, and CAD design tools.

Undergraduates can apply for Engineer-in-Training Certification, which can be followed up with a Professional Engineer Certification after a few years in the field.

I have a BS Ocean Engineering. My initial studies included all the math, statics, dynamics and materials that one would study as a civil engineer.

Geometry is fun as you learn the characteristics and relationships of lines, triangles, circles, polygons and many shapes.

Physical Science is an excellent introduction to the physical phenomena, in which we live. It observes many of nature's chemical and physical properties.

Astro-Physics & Nano-Physics are at the edges of a general Physics course. The language of Physics is Math. With math, humans can both model and use the laws observed for their benefit.

Precalculus is an extended review of mathematical prerequisites for the study of calculus, such as algebra, analytical geometry, and trigonometry. The study of math is a continuum learned elements whereby a student can think in algebraic, spatial, logarithmic, trigonometric complex abstract ideas. It is not impossible if the student learned to practice, practice, practice math problem techniques up to this level of math.

The Math skills required for the SAT are of a basic standard that should be within the reach of a tenth grade student. You don't need to learn up lots of new formulae but you will need to sharpen up your thinking skills.

Math questions on the SAT will be of different difficulty levels. Each section will start out easy, move to medium level and end with hard questions.

I have all the study material for the Series 7 and passed on my first try.

From my BIO Summary:

I have six years experience in financial services, stockbroker licensed.

Conducted financial plans and estate plans with clients, NASD licensed series 6, 63, 65, 7 GA, FL. Life and health insurance GA, FL

To be licensed to sell any insurance, annuity, stock, bond, mutual fund, commodity, public or private managed account, 401K, an individual must pass all the NASD licensed series listed above. Which I did.

A NASD Series 7 licensee can do all the above provided he/she works for a licensed Broker.

The Financial Markets, the nature of stocks, bonds, mutual funds, managed accounts and commodities - buying and selling of them, trade requirements and trade language are items tested on Series 7 Exam.

SSAT is used to assess middle school students interested in getting into specific high schools. The test consists of verbal, quantitative (math) and reading comprehension sections.

The verbal questions test your vocabulary, verbal reasoning, and ability to relate ideas logically.

The quantitative (math) questions test your ability to solve problems involving arithmetic, basic algebra and geometry, and concepts.

The reading comprehension section tests your ability to understand what you read.

I was a swimmer in high school and college. I have been a water safety instructor, a life guard and a PADI certified scuba diver.

The world of Trigonometry involves the relationships of Right-angled triangles, Sines, Cosines, Tangents, & etc. Trigonometric functions, series and formulas also have applicability to cyclical phenomena, such as waves.
