Teaching is a craft that influences the life a child to become successful. My philosophy of education is centered on my favorite quote which is, “Your Attitude determines your Altitude”. It is my belief that if a positive attitude for learning is instilled in a child at a very young age, he will be able to ascend and reach higher heights as he progresses in school. Early learning and exposure to academics is the key to a child’s success.
I have been in the field of education for 25 years with experiences from Birth-5 and on the collegiate level. My certification is K-5 and I also have a Reading Endorsement certificate. I have obtained degrees in Curriculum, Instruction, Management, and Administration as well as a doctorate in Educational Leadership. I can provide the foundation needed for success in school for preschoolers because of my trainings with Georgia Bright from the Start the licensing agency for daycare providers.
I have taught grades 1, 2, 3, and 4 in the subjects of Reading and English/Language Arts. I have taken several workshops to prepare students to take the state writing assessments.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
