Hello! My name is Anita, and I am a Concord Academy graduate heading to Columbia University as a freshman this fall. I am a lot younger than most of the other tutors on this page, but I am a responsible and dedicated student, and have mentored middle and high school students in Essay Writing, Reading, and the College Essay as well as the College Process in general. I took my SAT last year (scoring a 2200) and navigated the college process just last fall, so my insight and advice is very up-to-date and heartfelt.
My passion is essay-writing, and I have won awards on the national and international level for my essays. I love to write, and find joy in molding the perfect essay. Crafting a college essay that best displays one's talents is difficult, and with my help your child will submit an essay that will wow admissions officers!
I live in Acworth, and am available from 9 am to 9 pm on Mondays-Fridays, as well as some weekends. My price is highly negotiable! Thank you for considering me, and have a great day!
At Concord Academy, I have had the privilege of studying English under acclaimed authors and established teachers. In 6th grade, I won the BIC: Quality Comes in Writing national essay competition. In 8th grade, I won two gold keys in the Scholastic Art and Writing: Georgia regional competition. In 10th grade, I won an honorable mention in the Scholastic Art and Writing: Boston regional competition and was recognized at the Museum of Fine Art in Boston. And just two weeks ago, I won an honorable mention in the Live Deliberately International Essay Competition. I scored a 790 on the Writing section of my SAT, and a 710 in the Critical Reading Section of my SAT.
Students, contact me for help on the college process, the SAT, and writing your college essay. I have a lot of insight to offer, and you won't regret enlisting my help!

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have been a varsity volleyball player for 3 years, and captained the Concord Academy Varsity Volleyball team last season. I am a middle hitter, but can also double as a defensive specialist (libero) and an outside hitter. I was named the EIL All-League MVP, the best Volleyball player of the 14 teams in the Eastern Independent League. I was recognized by the Boston Globe and the Boston Herald in their winter 2015 issues.
