Hi! I am Julian.
Getting ready to move to Acworth (Harrison High School area). Let me know if I can help with math, science, or Spanish.
I graduated 4.0 from Georgia Tech with a degree in civil engineering. I was a salutatorian of my high school class. I taught several math courses as a teacher at a high school and have passed the GACE math, physics, and science exams (the content exams for Georgia for high school math, physics, and science). I was a member of my high school math team and went to the state math tournament twice and placed 33rd in the state in my junior year. I scored a 2230 on the SAT (800 math, 750 reading, and 680 writing). I am excellent with all math up to and including AP calculus BC and AP statistics. I am very good with physics and chemistry. I took Spanish six times in high school and once in college and have intermediate fluency in Spanish. I have tutored through a few different places both online and in person but definitely prefer in person lessons. Also, I scored a 5 on each of the AP Spanish Language, Physics C: Mechanics, Calculus BC (and Calculus AB subscore), and US history exams and a 4 on AP English language. I slacked a little only taking 6 AP classes but scored excellent on all of them. I hope to hear from you soon and wish you the best in your tutoring needs.

GRE

GRE

Took the GRE on the old format. Scored an 800 in the Quantitative (estimated 166) and 640 on the Verbal (estimated 162) with a 4.5 on the writing section. My total estimated score according to ETS is a 328 out of 340 with a 4.5 writing.

Spanish,

Spanish

Took Spanish six times in high school and earned a 5 on the AP Spanish Language exam.
Statistics

Statistics

I took an intensive version of probability and statistics in college in the college math department that incorporated calculus. I could have probably gotten away with taking an easier version in high school or college, but I liked the small class size (~50 students vs. 200) and the challenge. I don't particularly like statistics, but it seems to be one of my most popular subjects, especially among adults who have not taken math in what seems like eons. I am good with speadsheets and have a superb math background. I am excellent with statistics on both Excel and a graphing calculator and am good at deriving and explaining equations.

Great Math tutor

We went over fractions, he showed me easier methods to solve them. I feel a lot more comfortable now. Next time we will increase the lessons and make them more challenging.

Excellent tutor

My son really understands Julian’s teaching. So far we have had only a few lessons but my son's grades have already improved. First quiz was a 92, which is a vast improvement. Julian is also very flexible.

Tutoring

My sons last math score was the best so far this year. He said that Julian explains things a way that he can understand much easier. He also feels more confident since he is getting it now. We will continue using Julian to tutor both of our sons.

Happy

After I asked my son, he was happy with class. he said, he was happy and happy the way Julian approached the problems. However, Julian, will have to explain the behind the scene concepts besides solving the problems. Julian may have done that when I was away.
