Hello! I'm glad that you have taken an interest in MS Access, Excel, or MS Word. I teach MS Access/VBA/ADO, Excel, and MS word, and am willing to meet with you in your home or you can bring your laptop and we can meet in a coffee shop. Regardless whether I'm teaching a large class or just one-on-one, I'm sensitive to students getting information overload, and I make sure that each student understands the material and has a solid grasp before going on to the next subject. There's a lot of moving parts to teaching Microsoft Access, from good database design, tables and forms, and most importantly, coding in VBA to add even more power to MS Access and Excel, and I do everything I can to give each student the most comprehensive understanding possible.
I have years of experience successfully tutoring adults and the elderly in basic computer skills in their homes, conducting classes for hospital staff in medical software, and instructing civil servants and military personnel in MS Windows and all components of Microsoft Office. I look forward to working with you, see you soon! Hello! I'm glad that you have taken an interest in MS Access, Excel, or MS Word. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have been designing, developing, and maintaining databases for corporations since 2000. I have extensive experience programming Visual Basic for Applications and Active Data Objects (ADO).
Previously, I was a software instructor for a medical software firm as well as a private software education firm where I had 30-40 students daily. I also provided my services as an at-home tutor, exclusively for adults.
I have been implementing VBA solutions with Microsoft Excel for various corporations since 2000. I can show you how to iterate through various collections of the Microsoft Component Object Model (COM) to manipulate charts, ranges of values, and formulas all via code.
I have been using MS Word since Word 1.0. I can show you how to create fields, use headers and footers, alternating sections, table of contents, indexes, how to insert tables and images, and the how to set up and use style sheets.
