I am a college graduate from Stetson University, who majored in Business Management. I have been tutoring students of all ages at Stetson and outside of Stetson for 3 years. I was recommended by a Stetson University professor, and that is how I became a tutor. I have taken several math courses (up to Calculus) and I am able to tutor a student in various subjects from grades kindergarten to high school.
I love working with people of all ages and I love seeing the students I tutor show improvement on their tests and homework, as well as retain the knowledge.
My approach with students is to first assess what a student's learning style is and then create a lesson plan according to the student's needs. I understand that there are many ways to teach a student, but I have found that basing a lesson on their needs is the way a student learns best.
I volunteer at a local elementary school, where I read to children and then tutor them in core subjects from grades K-5. I also attend a tutoring assembly every month to discuss new tutoring strategies.

A lot of progress in a single lesson. My daughter bonded with her very quickly. My daughter appears more motivated and feels very confident that she can make progress.
Sabrina is excellent at keeping our reluctant, but very bright, granddaughter engaged in her study. She deserves much kudos!! We are thankful that she is in the program!!
Sabrina is a wonderful teacher. She is very patient and explains everything thorough. Zackery looks forward to her coming and gets very excited the day she comes to tutor him. I have noticed a change in Zackery's work whether it be Math, Spelling or Writing. He is doing great. And he is proud of himself. I would recommend Sabrina to anyone. She is a sweet girl!!!
My daughter is learning so much with Sabrina, my daughters math skills have gotten better since Sabrina has been tutoring her. Thank you Sabrina.
Sabrina has been great helping my daughter with PreCalc and improving her Algebra II skills. I am very happy with how the tutoring is going.
Sabrina is great, after the first session my son was able to understand and apply some concepts. She always responds to my emails quickly, and she was on time for the lesson.
Sabrina is an excellent tutor. She is very patient and my son says that she explains algebra and geometry in a way that makes it much easier for him to understand. Sabrina also answers texts and calls in a very timely manner. My son's test scores have improved dramatically since Sabrina started tutoring him.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have worked with multiple students in this subject. Math is also my specialty, so this is a subject I enjoy tutoring.
I am qualified to tutor Elementary (K-6th) because I volunteer at a local elementary school where I teach kids the basics of reading. I have also done private tutoring for elementary math and science. This means that I qualify for the core subjects taught in elementary schools.
I am certified to use and work with Microsoft Outlook. I became certified after taking 2 classes, MIS 101 and MIS 350 (marketing information systems). I have used Microsoft Outlook in jobs where I have interned at for e-mail purposes and for calender events. I am knowledgeable in teaching students how to schedule meetings using this program and I am also skilled in making business connections using this program. Recently, Microsoft Outlook has been upgraded at my university and I have been trained on how to use the new system as well.
I am certified to use and work with Microsoft Windows, along with other Microsoft products/systems. I became certified after taking 2 classes, MIS 101 and MIS 350 (marketing information systems). I constantly use Microsoft Windows in my day-to-day occurrences- for school and for work purposes.
I have worked with many students in this field. Feel free to look at my reviews and testimonials from parents.
The tutoring program I am involved in at Stetson works with the Academic Resource Center. This center works with students to take helpful notes and figure out what the key objectives are to studying. I am also the official note taker for my accounting class to help students have the study materials they need.
